• Cancun on the Cheap

Juan Doe and John Doe are the authors of "Cancun on the Cheap" which is a guide on how to not get ripped off when visiting Cancun. Much of the sales page for "Cancun on the Cheap" feels like some kind of dirty secret that you stumbled onto. The authors repeatedly mention that they have been banned from Cancun resorts for revealing information and writing this book and even go as far as to create the aliases John and Juan Doe. This seems unnecessary but this is the angle they have chosen to market their eBook.

    Cancun on the Cheap

Juan Doe and John Doe are the authors of “Cancun on the Cheap” which is a guide on how to not get ripped off when visiting Cancun. Much of the sales page for “Cancun on the Cheap” feels like some kind of dirty secret that you stumbled onto. The authors repeatedly mention that they have been banned from Cancun resorts for revealing information and writing this book and even go as far as to create the aliases John and Juan Doe. This seems unnecessary but this is the angle they have chosen to market their eBook.

“Cancun on the Cheap” is an eBook that covers aspects of travelling to Cancun such as getting transportation to and from the airport, getting transportation to other destinations in Cancun, shopping, eating, drinking, nightlife, souvenir shopping, who not to ask for travel advice and generally what and what not to do during your stay in Cancun. The authors (one of whom claims to be a Mexican national who works closely to the tourism industry in Cancun and the other who is supposedly an American operating a business in Cancun) paint Cancun as a beautiful locale with a very ugly underground. They try to tell their readers that everyone is trying to rip you off in Cancun.

What Their Book Can Do for You

According to the authors, “Cancun on the Cheap” will teach you how to avoid price gouging and save hundreds if not thousands of dollars on your next trip to Cancun. They will tell you the differences that many American travelers overlook between the US and Cancun, Mexico that can be vital to your safety and well-being. They actually tell you specific restaurants where you can eat great for cheap which is nice. They even go as far as to provide a guide for reliable and affordable dentists and doctors who will tend to you in an emergency situation in Cancun.

    Testimonials

The sales site for “Cancun on the Cheap” only provides one review of the book and the “reviewer” apparently wanted his name to be left off the review for fear of some unknown repercussion:

“If they found out you wrote this you’ll have to watch your back everywhere you go in Cancun.”  – Anonymous

    Pros:

There seems to be a lot of information contained in this book that many people can benefit from-information that many people overlook and fail to arm themselves with before a trip to a foreign country.

    Cons:

The authors seemingly rely on scare tactics to sell their book which seems unnecessary if the content is really what they make it out to be.

    Lastly

The authors of “Cancun on the Cheap” make their book seem cheap by drawing this scary picture of Cancun. There is a breakdown of the chapters contained in the book and all the information seems valid and useful enough to the point that they didn’t have to try and resort to scare tactics to sell their book. Despite the unfortunate sales approach, “Cancun on the Cheap” seems like a good investment for your forthcoming trip.
